WellPoint's Dirty Political Money
is bad for our Families
WELLPOINT IS ATTHE EPICENTER OF SECRETIVE CORPORATE FUNDING
FOR EXTREMIST POLITICAL ACTIVITIES.
Since 2005, WellPoint has given Mitch Daniels over $95,000 in campaign contributions.
WellPoint was involved in a scheme to use $86 million in premium dollars to oppose
health care reform though America's Health Insurance Plans (ahip) to the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce, and the full extent of WellPoint's involvement remains unknown.
As a member of the American Legislative Exchange Council's (alec) Health & Human
Services Task Force, WellPoint sent "model legislation" designed to prevent the
implementation of health care reform to state legislatures across the country.
WellPoint joined the Koch brothers and Americans for Prosperity in funding the
anti-collective bargaining efforts of extremist politicians in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio,
and elsewhere, despite the fact that many of their policy holders were union members
and had bargained for their health care coverage.
