Dear Friends,
The May meeting will be held on Thursday, May 31st, at Tabernacle Presbyterian
Church, 4l3 3. 34th, at 12:00 noon in the dining room, which is in the basement of
the Church. Lunch will be served at a cost of $5«00 per person. You enter the
building under the green canopy from the parking lot to the north of the Church.
Please remember to RSVP to meeting notices, whether postcard or letter. The meal
reservations need to be accurate in order to prepare for you, and so as not to
incur charges for extra food. Please call the office at 637-2666 to let us know
if you will be attending the meeting and whether or not you would like to have
lunch.
Meeting dates, times and places have fluctuated by design, and by September
we hope to announce a regular meeting time, date and location. No decision is
convenient to all, but having a dependable meeting spot on your calendar is
important to everyone. We do not see a need to meet regularly during June,
July and August.
Bylaws, as recommended by the Long Range Planning Committee, will be
presented at the May meeting. Joyce Sckhart is working hard in order to have
the directories ready for you.
The September meeting will be pre-empted by an exciting leadership seminar
presenting Audrey 3aird from Milwaukee, sponsored by the Friends. The day-long
symposium benefits the Friends, volunteers for other cultural arts organizations,
arts managers and other volunteers. Save 3:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Monday,
September 17th:
Your interest and participation are truly appreciated. The Friends are
moving quickly in support of the Foundation and in recognition in the community.
In 1935 we look forward to establishing Chapter II.
Do keep us posted of address or telephone changes. Thank you for helping.
Happy Month of May.*
Respectfully,
Ann Ruebeck
President
