Fabulous gourmet food! Spectacular decorations! Fast and fun bidding! Wonderful music! These were some of the superlatives used to describe the super successful "Let Us Entertain You" gala benefit for the ISO on April 20. This event raised $57,000 + , a new Women's Committee record for a benefit event. Many thanks to the hard working committee under chairman Diana Nering, to the party donors and purchasers and to the patrons. A special thanks to the Hilton at the Circle and their staff, to Flanner and Buchanan Mortuaries for help in printing expenses, and to all the generous party donors. The enjoyment will continue through the coming months, as the lucky winning bidders enjoy their parties. Bon appetite! Music Stand The ISO Music Stand committee wishes to extend to all of its volunteers and patrons a very special THANK YOU for your time and support given during the 1985-86 concert season. To all of you who have so generously given of your time and talent to this project, please accept this as your personal thank you note. The list of helpers is far too long to print in this letter. The success of the Music Stand depends not only upon the loyal volunteers, but also the enthusiastic patronage by the concert goers. Sales continue to grow each year. We look forward to an even better next season. We will continue to search out and stock new and unusual music related gift items. Janet Barb and Marilyn Lindseth t COLUMBUS #• PRO MUIICA Columbus Pro Musica and the Columbus Bank will sponsor the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Pops Orchestra on June 27, 1986 at Columbus' unique midsummer festival on the Bartholomew County Library Plaza at 7:30 p.m. Networking The docent project, "Networking with Community Resources," has been selected as one of eight education projects across the country to make a presentation at the Volunteer Council section of the American Symphony Orchestra League Conference in Detroit, June 27, 1986. Women's Committee Night On The Prairie Women's Committee members and their guests are cordially invited to Women's Committee Night on the Prairie on Wednesday, July 30. William Henry Curry, Conductor and Frederic Chiu, Pianist will be performing the Liszt Piano Concerto #2 in A Major. Chiu is a Beethoven Foundation Fellow and former winner of the ISO Young Musician's Contest. Picnic tables will be reserved. Bring along the picnic basket filled with delectable food and beverage. Admission is $8 per person. Spouses welcome. Deadline for reservations is July 14. Please mail check to Mary Brown, 4068 Wander Way, Greenwood, 46142.
