*'* a.}. A- D-- ':'#^. ,. % Keeping You Informed Jiff 1 i Executive Director's Report: Carly Pf'eiffer, a Senior at Warren Central. High School began work on January 6 in a Work-Study program. She will be in the office for three hours each day. Her responsibilities will include: answering the each day, aiding in genera! office work, marketing, and lizationa needs. Carly is pla n-n, to attend Purdue University, and is interested in a marketing career. Anna White will be the Moderator for one of the Panel Discussions which are a part of the day long Joseph Taylor Symposium at H PUI on February 16, 1999. This Tenth Annual Symposium is presented by The Schooi of Liberal Arts and will focus on the role of the arts in the community. The topic of discussion of the particular panel White will moderate is "The Arts Enhance and rransfi i »an I i ing". For more information can the office. Registration is due February 2. Reminder: We will be hosting a meeting of approximately 10 YA Directors of Education & Programs from selected chapters around the country on February 5 and 6. The daylong meeting on February 6 will be held in the Law Offices of Sommer & Barnard. Development Dispatch We have received $3,000 from the Rotary Foundation of Indianapolis for SAY'99. In December, The Penned Society notified us of a $5,000 award for SAY'99. ♦ The Downtown Optimist Foundation sent us a check for $1,000, thank you to Bob Brafford for your help with this. ♦ Please keep your names and addresses coming for new prospects. We haven't heard from everyone. ♦ Young Audiences is happy to take birthday and other types of honoring donations. Keep us in mind when you are stumped for that "hard to buy for" person. And remember, It is never too late to turn in your Annual Fund pledge! ♦ We aic ! kin i r prizes for the Spring Run Iris, do you know of any businesses that might be willing to donate? We would love to have a contact with a pizza business! URGENT; Three projects need funding fast (and we mean really FAST! Lite NOW) ♦ $3500 for the 5 min YA informational/promotional video. Travis & intern Jen Sandler have already started unary work on this project with the Youth Video Institute. ♦ $800/month for the ArtsCard page in Indy Curiocity. ArtsCard has grown significantly in use and visibility this past fall after we "revamped" it. We may also be doing an ArtsCard page in Teen Track magazine for which we could also use a sponsor, ♦ $800/month for Y-ARTS radio show. Currently handed through the end of January - with a BIG THAIS 1CS TO ANITA ROGERS for her efforts in making Cinergy the show's corporate sponsor for our first month with WICR. 3050 N.
